Are we Ready to co-create a New World: Of the People, By the People, With the Planet?

Intention

Out of silence and inner stillness the Circle of Love and Light and 10.10.10 as a whole will co-create a consciousness of Oneness, peace, harmony, and love among all people and for all life on the earth. All interested in holding this intention are invited to join the Circle around the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall and virtually around the globe.

Scientific observation and measurement of the power of collective thought and intention will occur throughout the event to document this moment, potentially a tipping point in human evolution.

About the Circle

During the twelve hour period from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EDT, people who are experienced and sincere about their inner responsibility for the highest good of humanity and the planet will form a circle around the reflecting pool on the National Mall by the Lincoln Memorial. Anyone who wishes to help hold a vigil of consistent higher awareness and vibration, peace, and love for humanity and the planet is invited to join in silent reflection, prayer and meditation, observing the collective power in silence and focused intention.

The circle will be created by 10 a.m. Every hour on the hour, participants may enter the circle silently and peacefully and stay for one hour at a time. Those wishing to leave may also do so on the hour and may return after leaving for at least one hour.

Each hour will begin with ten minutes of silence, followed by soft music and a meditation led by a designated leader. The period will end with a tone. Chanting of sacred sounds may be offered, as well as continual prayers and meditation. The participants will remain in place for the hour without conversation and may experience a heightened sense of the science of silence and its ability to transform awareness and matter.

In the evening hours lights may be held by the participants around the reflecting pool, representing the light that shines in the darkness to illumine the path to a higher consciousness for humanity. Avatars from around the globe of aligned people and organizations representing the consciousness of Oneness will shine their energy and light as part of a mesmerizing artistic lights display.

Leaders and guides from specialized areas of consciousness building will be recruited for each of the twelve hours. The Power of One Team, along with its strategic partners, will tap its networks to sign up at least 10 people per hour. Examples of networks include: Experienced individuals who work with spiritual and ethical principles and practices, people of all faith traditions, healers, and peace communities are particularly welcomed to serve as anchors of love, light, and peace during each hour.

Connected events and people around the globe on 10.10.10 will be invited to participate in holding the intention and practice of inner reflection, silence, and peace wherever they are—before, during, and after the event. Many will be connected electronically during the period on the mall.

Washington, DC.—July 5, 2010 On Monday, June 21st, 2010 in Washington DC the PO1 team and strategic partners released the collective core message of the highly anticipated 10.10.10- Humanity’s Date with Destiny-the Inauguration of a New Civilization to the public:

We anticipate hundreds of thousands of people will declare their commitment to the survival and evolution of the human species and all life on earth. We will mark the passing of a civilization that has dominated and exploited earth, nature, culture, and spirit. We will bear witness to the birth of a new era of planetary healing, global community, and co-creative partnership.

Through the power of our intention, 10.10.10 will become a momentous date in history.  Washington D.C., is a power center of the world today.

10.10.10 is the moment our shared evolutionary impulse toward planetary healing reaches critical mass. It is the moment we, as one human family, step into our power to create the more beautiful world our hearts tell us is possible. No longer will we feel like a few lonely travelers in a world gone mad.

Through the power of silence, vibration, play, and words spoken from the direct knowing of source, we will experience together a “new normal” – a state of connectedness, of heightened consciousness, and of a loving certainty of our power to re-create our world.

10.10.10 is not about connectedness – it is a direct experience of connectedness and reunion that will crystallize within us and change us forever. The time has come. The state of the planet urgently calls us to wake up and join together to create the new world.

“We have overcome existential threats before. Sometimes doing your best is not good enough. Sometimes, you must do what is required.” — Winston Churchill

This quote resonated deep inside me. My entire body seemed to be vibrating; it felt as though my heart was emitting intense low frequency pulses.

Have you ever been invaded by intense low frequency noise?  I’ve had this unpleasant experience before. It happened when someone who installed the largest bass speakers they could fit in their car, pulled along side me at a stoplight with the volume cranked up. The sound went through the metal, plastic and glass of my car and penetrated my body.  Relief only came when the light turned green and I could create distance between my invader and me.

This time the vibrations were different. I was the source of the noise, which made it even more discomforting. I couldn’t turn it off or get away, and then I realized why my volume dial was stuck on maximum. It was the word existential.

I’m developing a program on resiliency, which incorporates a definition of resiliency by Salvatore Maddi: Resiliency is the operationalization of existential courage that facilitates the ongoing search for meaning in life. It was in that moment of reflection that I was able to locate the source of the vibrations. It was the confluence of my head and heart energies confronting the reality that climate change is an existential threat that requires the operationalization of our individual and collective existential courage to reverse its degradation of our planet.

“Sometimes doing your best is not good enough. Sometimes, you must do what is required.” Churchill clearly saw and felt an existential threat. His perseverance, commitment, courage and resiliency were fueled not by a desire for personal power, but rather for the people of Great Britain and for the world to have the freedom to pursue their purpose in life. His courage was not going to be thwarted or broken by brutal dictators or totalitarian regimes with a goal to deny people the freedom to find and experience meaning in life. He knew in his head and deep in his heart that at this moment in time his purpose was to awaken and mobilize the human spirit to confront the eminent threat to its existence.

Are we courageous enough to do what is required to preserve and sustain our planet? There is no doubt – the science is irrefutable. Our planet is warming at an alarming rate. Miscalculations, spats between scientists, and record snowfalls in the Middle Atlantic States this pass winter do not alter the evidence that our planet’s temperature is rising. The threat is real and its’ consequences are creating destruction and death.  We are rapidly and radically compromising the health of our planet.

We don’t have the luxury to placate deniers or deny reality any longer as many world leaders did in the face of the existential threat of Nazism. No one will escape the consequences of global climate change; the level of connectedness and interdependence in the world prevents the consequences of climate change from being contained.

The existential threat of climate change is our challenge and it will be our children’s, grandchildren’s and their children’s destiny.  On Father’s Day weekend a 16 year-old boy in an op-ed article in the New York Times said to his father “We have no choice but to care enough.” He like Churchill clearly sees and feels the existential threat of climate change and in his own words paraphrases Churchill, “Sometimes doing your best is not good enough. Sometimes, you must do what is required.” Do we care enough to do what is required?

I get frustrated and sometimes angry when I hear comments from climate change deniers who obstruct meaningful discourse and trivialize the preponderance of scientific data. But I haven’t channeled this emotional energy to do anything except to rant and rave to my wife and friends.   I stay current on the science and political machinations of climate change. I’m turning off more of my electric sucking appliances, I’m recycling and we bought a green car. But am I doing what is required of me? Do I care enough?

Am I being courageous in the face of an approaching calamity? I don’t feel as though I am.  I’ve allowed petty excuses to give me cover from facing the level of caring and courageous action needed to confront this threat. It’s not about getting it right or being right or liked; it’s about doing the caring and courageous thing.

I must transform my anger and my pettiness into caring and courageous action. My children, grandchildren and their children will either see me as man who saw adversity and looked away, or a man who listened to his heart and head and mobilized his courage to give them the opportunity to pursue their unique purpose and meaning in life.

I hope that you will join with me in doing whatever you can to fight this existential threat to our planet. Dear friends and colleagues,

As you know, the Power of One’s core intention is the creation of a [scientifically measured] global consciousness experience on 10.10.10, featuring silence, being, and doing, so as to create a gateway and launching platform for inspired quantum action beyond 10.10.10 in support of a peaceful, sustainable and harmonious global society.  We are inviting you to a gathering on June 21st and 22nd to help envision this evolutionary project into being.  We feel it is time for us to “practice what we preach [walk the talk]” — to open a space from which we can collectively draw upon our connection with each other and with Source so as to co-create that which wants to emerge at this critical point in time.

First and foremost, the raison d’être for this gathering is to bring together our Power of One allies, all deeply conscious people who recognize that we are moving out of one story, the status quo of separation and waste, and into a new story of interconnection and sustainability.  Virtually all of us are currently choosing to dedicate our lives to supporting the emergence of this new story – assisting nothing less than the future viability of humankind.  As we all sense, the old thinking and the old solutions are simply not working.  We must find the means to tap into something else – a generative new capacity to connect with the Emergent.  This is a project that will undoubtedly need the gifts of each and every conscious being on the planet.  We believe that you are in alignment with us on this, and that you will know if you are meant to be a part of this gathering.

What?: A two day experience of co-creation in service to what wants to emerge for 10.10.10 and beyond.

Whom?: Power of One core team members and strategic partners by invitation.

When?: June 21st and 22nd, from 9:30am until 5:30pm (coffee and snacks will be provided from 9:00-9:45am and a buffet lunch will be provided from 1-7pm each day). Please note:  It is essential to be in full attendance by 10 am on each day if you are to help us create the Sacred Space and collective process, which we trust you will respect and not disrupt.

Preparation: Participants are requested to review the 10.10.10. invitation, fact sheet, and program (discussion drafts to be circulated shortly) and enter into some inner dialogue (see questions below) in advance of meeting.

We sincerely hope that you can join us. However we do realize that the timing may not be right for you to attend, or perhaps you might only be able to join us for one day.  This process is about establishing trust in what wants to emerge.  Please know that we appreciate whatever role you are called to play in this.  Each of us will find our own path to living into the steps of entering Silence, experiencing full Being, and then engaging in conscious Doing.

The dawning reality is that none of us can do this alone. Without acknowledging that we are each part of something emergent that is bigger than our individual selves, we will remain limited by our old visions of what is possible.  Creating a collective Field through deeper relationship and connection is what will allow a new vision to emerge and support the change that we all want to see.  These two days will focus upon how we personally commit to and support this new vision.  This is undoubtedly a relational task.

Here is a taste of what we intend: Monday will be a day devoted to releasing the old — opening our hearts and minds to deeply listen into what is becoming possible, what wants to be called forth into being.  Tuesday will be about taking the realizations and ideas that emerge into the next stage — focusing on how we co-create the new and develop some action steps that take us into the future we hope to inhabit – including some of the finer points of planning for the 10.10.10 event itself.  We will begin each morning by opening sacred space.  Each of us will be asked to share our Power of One story – five minutes about why we are here.  We ask that each participant do some preliminary inner work asking:  what is my gift, my work, my connection to what wants to emerge?  We feel strongly that the puzzle pieces are coming together — and that each of us holds a key to how the ultimate picture develops.

Throughout each day we will call the participants into regular moments of Silence, allowing us toflow into new connections and unity, eventually moving into a Quantum Dialogue to help us open the door to a new story. We trust that our tasks will be made more clear and, collectively, we will be aligned to become the change we want to see.

As ideas pour in to try to help BP handle the Gulf oil spill not all of them are high tech, the power of thought and intention matter every bit. In a recent article in USA Today, it is reported that:

The offers of help don’t always center on cutting-edge technology. Sister Jenna Mahraj, director of the Brahma Kumaris, a spiritual organization with roots in India, is calling on her supporters to hold a minute of silence every hour to “express our well wishes toward the Gulf.”

“The power of pure thinking can accomplish many things,” she said. “And every little bit helps.”
